Tennessee Marriage License Information
No Waiting Period!
No Blood Tests!
You must be at least 18 years of age.
Both parties must present either a Valid Driver's License or
a Certified Birth Certificate, or a
Valid Passport if not a US citizen.
Once you apply, the application is good for a period of 30 days. If you are not
married within the 30 day period, it will be necessary for you to
reapply for the marriage license.
If you have been divorced and taken back your Maiden Name and your
current driver's license does not reflect your Maiden Name, it will be necessary for you
to bring your Divorce Decree indicating the name change.
You may apply at any Courthouse in Tennessee.

Cash Only - $38.50 in our local county of Sevier County, Tennessee, any
other county in Tennessee, the cost is $98.50.
Tennessee Residents - Cash Only $98.50*
*If Tennessee residents complete a 4-hour marriage counseling course, cost
of marriage license will be lowered to standard $38.50 fee. Check with your
local courthouse for more information.
